Baltimore police on Thursday handed over its initial investigation into Freddie Gray's death to the state's attorney, Marilyn J. Mosby. Her office will decide whether it has enough evidence and justification to prosecute any police officers involved in Gray's arrest, The New York Times reports. If her office decides to move ahead with asking for an indictment, the case will go to a grand jury. Mosby said that the results of the police investigation are "not new to us" and her office is conducting its own investigation into Gray's death. Leaks on the police department's findings have been reported by several media outlets today, but it remains unclear how Gray was injured. Police have announced in the past that he was not wearing a seatbelt and he should have received medical attention sooner
