In the mid to late 1970s,for WACs released early from Basic Training,the military threatened anyone who tried to claim military benefits with a lifetime confinement in a locked VA psychiatric ward and to show they meant business,they gave most false spin numbers indicating a psychiatric problem of one kind or the other.
I took them at their word. It was like a trip to hell back then when Vietnam War was going on.
