Gerry Connolly of Virginia, AKA Gerald E.Connolly
Jim Himes of Connecticut,
Eddie Bernice Johnson of Texas
Mike Quigley of Illinois.

They are among only 17 House Democrats publicly backing Obama's request for "fast track" trade negotiating authority.



Connolly was born in Boston,MA. He earned his bachelor's from Maryknoll College in 1971 and his M.P.A. in 1971 from Harvard University. After receiving his master's, he began working for the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.[1] Prior to his election to the U.S. House, Connolly was a chair of the Board of Supervisors in Fairfax County, Virginia


Himes was born July 5, 1966 in Lima, Peru,[1] to American parents, where his father worked for the Ford Foundation and UNICEF. He spent his early childhood in Lima and Bogotá, Colombia.Himes, his mother, and his two sisters moved to Pennington, New Jerseywhere Himes attended and graduated from Hopewell Valley Central High School.He
graduated Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1988. Himes studied for a degree in Latin American studies as a RHODES SCHOLAR (like Clinton) at St Edmund Hall, Oxford and graduated with a Master of Philosophy in 1990.

Johnson Born and reared in Waco, Texas, Johnsonleft Texas and attended Saint Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana, where she received a diploma in nursing in 1956. She transferred to Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, from which she received a bachelor's degree in nursing. She later attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and earned an MPA in 1976. In 1972, as an underdog candidate running for a seat in the Texas House, Eddie Bernice Johnson won a landslide victory and became the first black woman ever elected to public office from Dallas,Texas.

Quigley represents most of Chicago's North Side, as well as several of the city's western suburbs. He is a member of the Democratic Party. Quigley is a former member of the Cook County Board of Commissioners, where he represented Chicago's northside neighborhoods of Lakeview, Uptown and Rogers Park. He also teaches environmental policy and Chicago politics at Loyola University Chicago.
