A ‘THEATER’ OF WAR?
2015 Oct 20 from: Bruce Vetter
During periods of war, areas of conflict are called “theaters”. How odd! Theaters are places of entertainment. Who ever found war entertaining but perhaps those “driving the bus” of other’s existence. Who’s driving this bus, and why do they enjoy this “theater” so much? I served in the military aboard nuclear submarines in the 60’s as a reactor operator. I was a part of this theater. General Smedley Butler summed it up when he said “war is a racket”. http://www.ratical.org/ratville/CAH/warisaracket.html#c1
