[After his first words, there was another silence to follow. Areia stood firm with her eyes fixed on the God before her with a expressionless face. Of course the Gods too did not show emotion, not even in their words, so she mimicked them.]
Areia: You know why I have come, I assume.
[Despite her words looking to be a question the lacking of variation in her tone would refuse to place that is once. Simple statements to leave her lips]
Occuria: We know all.
Occuria: You are to ask such foolish questions.
Areia: I was addressing Gerun, and Gerun alone.
[There was a hiss from other Gods around her as they floated midair above their podiums. If she was not attempting to be emotionless, she may have smiled at this slight irritation.]
Occuria: Here, you address all Gods.
Gerun: Vayne, the Heretic Venat. They plague Ivalice once more and you have come for answers. Answers you expect us to give without payment.
['Without payment?' The words echoed in her head but she refrained now herself from showing irritation. 'How dare they, after these years of service']
Areia: Vayne and Venat pose a threat to all Ivalice, this includes you -
Occuira: We can deal with Venat .
Occuria: He is undying no longer, his pact with Vayne is minimal.
Areia: But enough to see him walk Ivalice again. This is threat enough to take action and so we must.
Gerun: We? So, you will remain as our Undying in the times to come?
[Silence came as a breeze blew across the sky, carrying with it whispers and memories since forgotten to all those present. A slight warmth felt and souls of those in the Heavens reaching out in moments of peace]
Areia: Aye, I stand as your Undying.
[If the Occuria could smile, their lips would be wide and beaming. Though they had always spoken of her taking this place, she herself had not confirmed it as such, never spoken the words and to hear her admit to it now there would be joys in the eyes of Gods. Gerun most of all would be celebrating deep in his mind. Areia refrained from giving them the satisfaction and stood in silence now breaking her facade and baring a glare]
Areia: Protection to Ivalice and all I know, it's inhabitants come above you're childish plays at weaving history. Otherwise I will strike down you and all those that would have my soul taken from me. Vayne, Venat...anyone.
[An anger rose, but she stayed in control. A deep Mist brewed in her blood as it boiled at their arrogance. Had she wanted to, and they knew it, she could bring blade down on the Heavens and destroy all of Ivalice, if she so wished it. Like her, they had to tread lightly for making her their enemy would be fatal and she was no fan of the Gods to begin with]
Gerun: You words are pure, a deal we strike with you. To hold shards in hand we must.
Areia: Aye, the location of two are known and Cid's work should reveal the other.
Gerun: We. As Vayne has Venat, you dear child of power shall have I. You arm held by a God in a time brought to peace.
Areia: You will...come to Ivalice? Nay you cannot...
[By this point Gerun's formed and traveled closer to the blonde Knight. There was no intimidation in his movement but he loomed over the short girl all the same and it made her uncomfortable. Using her as a vessel to walk Ivalice would be a strain even for her, but if she did not than finding the Stones and stop Vayne and his plans than who would pay the price, how many would suffer. Having Gerun on her arm would make transformation to the Undying easier, but with him on surface...she had little faith in the Gods, little belief in their workings; was this a risk she had to take]
Areia: ...Aye, a fitting end all the same.
[A silence fell once more as the God's body of Mist vanished in a blur and the Judge, Captain, Sky Pirate whatever people may have known her for; fell to the ground in a heap]
