America's vanishing west?
I am only mentioning this BUNK because Drudge posted it and he does exponential damage when he does not use his brain and vet crap like this. Mercury news did a report where they claim America is losing its wild west due to development, in a context that made it look like soon there would be no "range" for the antelope to play on. Mercury News then cited how this was going to make it so that there were no wild spaces left. And that is rock stupid, and rock stupid for Drudge to have even posted the report.

The report states that over the last 10 years, 4,321 square miles have been developed. Ok, so maybe. How much is that? Well, California, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona have a combined square mileage of 1,093,911 square miles. If 4,321 square miles of that was developed over the last 10 years, IT MEANS THAT 0.00395 PERCENT OF THE WILD WEST GOT DEVELOPED. People who write doomsday reports over "the west being developed" when that is what the real number is should be banned from writing, your car could lose that percentage of performance from a butterfly stuck in the radiator.

And this is typical of environmentalist blowharding we all too often hear. Now they are probably going to excuse off all the global warming anomalies (where the satellites are all reporting it is not happening) on the satellites getting hit by hackers. I can see that one coming from a country mile away!
