Prime Minister Netanyahu is in China this week, and his youngest son Avner, a 12th grader, came along for the trip. As the Netanyahu’s toured a Jewish site there, Avner slipped into a small synagogue, and asked the rabbi to borrow “tefillin” as he hadn’t yet prayed. Among those looking on was a Chinese official, intrigued by what the young Netanyahu was doing. After Avner finished, the man approached him and asked politely what he had just wrapped around his arm. Avner explained the ritual and ended by saying, “It reminds us daily of who we stand before.
