What are the signs?

HERE ARE SOME SIGNS OF BAD PARENTING:

• Trying to be the child’s friend rather than the parent.
• Giving lip service to the importance of school and education but failing to set expectations.
• Allowing children to watch unlimited amounts of television, talking on the phone, etc.
• Not challenging the child to read more, to improve grammar, etc.
• Not setting the right example for interacting with the opposite sex.
• Failure to teach the importance of human life.
• Failure to teach children the difference between right and wrong.
• Overemphasizing society’s problems but underemphasizing society’s opportunities.
• Failure to teach children to respect others, their beliefs, and their property.
• Failure to discipline children who misbehave in school, and out in public.
• Teaching girls to rely too heavily on money, material things, and looks when choosing a significant other.
• Acting confrontational and fighting with strangers in public. Children witness this and think it’s okay. This encourages violence.
• Failure to teach boys making a boy doesn’t make you a man; taking care of babies makes you a man.
• Failure to insist that sexually active girls adopt a no condom, no sex mantra.
