BEWARE of the "Limca books record Holder" - AGARWAL Packers. This could happen to you too......
This note is going to be very long and you would need to have patience to read the agonizing story of my terrible day on the 8th of April because of what happened. And I pray to God this shouldn't happen to anyone else.
I don't know where to begin as I feel horribly cheated and this looks like a perfect case of cheating a customer.
I booked the famous "Limca book record holder" agarwal packers on the 3rd of March( Quote # QU/BLR/15/002983) to shift to my current address on the 8th of April within Bangalore as it was all planned and had informed my new owner about it as well. One Mr Rahul Goyal had come to my house and gave me a quote confirming that I would have all or more than I need to move "tension " free. little did I know that it would be the worst nightmare ever right from the beginning. On the 8th , the folks were supposed to come by 9:30 am as I had repeatedly requested that they come early otherwise packing will be delayed and I had to be inside the new campus before 6 pm otherwise they will not allow me in.
But the people reached by 11:15 am. reason : there was a tyre puncture and this was not the regular person who does the drop. why, because it's a holiday for Ugadi and the regular people are not in.
Let me share what was not provided as a part of the packing material:
a) Blue boxes for Kitchen crockery
b) Fabricated sheets to pack TV, etc etc
c) 20 cartons were less
d) bubble wrap was severely limited
e) just 2 laundry bags
and now, when I immediately asked why the blue boxes were missing he said that because it is a holiday , all the boxes have been used up for other deliveries.
Then I asked him why should I even pay any money?????? is it my fault that it is a holiday and that you couldn't keep stuff for my shifting even after informing you 36 days in advance ???????????????????????????????? and then guess what. I asked him where was the Truck for the loading and he tells me that there are no Agarwal trucks available and so he will arrange for a 17 feet open truck from the market.
Now, this was getting me extremely angry but I had no choice. the truck came straight from a vegetable or fish market and it had gloves and stuff on it all over. and so I told the people that if it is not clean and some carpet type thing put , I'll not allow any shifting that day. a it was dirty all over. can you imagine the horror in the first 1 hour of my shifting.
SO far it was a disaster. then, I realise that one of the guys had no experience doing anything. , and when I enquired, the others told me that he is brand new to the job.
Now, this was it. how can they, the Limca record holding company send someone so new to do the shifting. and that too without any packing material for the crockery. Finally, we ran out of cartons, as the other people packed our clothes in cartons instead of laundry bags, and packed matresses just with tapes instead of having matress bags and then asked me to carry my own TV in my car as they were worried it would break. they bloody charged me extra money to pack my TV and printer with your fabricated sheet and now asked me to get my own TV.
IS THIS FAIR?????????????????????????????????????
and then when I finally reached my new house, it was 8 pm while unpacking, I see that one of my chairs head rest was broken, and while putting my Marble Mandir on top of the stand, the top part broke, and as this stupid guy, just put all my perfume and lotion in the carton without taping it, some of it got leaked and then he kept the Big jar of Rice and flour upside down without cellotaping it so it was completely spilled and destroyed.
Now, I was sitting in my house mentally frustrated and with my family tired and not able to unpack , these guys requested that I either find them a cab or help drop them as it was almost 1 am and a holiday.
I ended up paying them the money and dropping them home in my car at 1:3o am.
Now, tell me, after all this, I was made a jackass by the Limca book of record holders, "Agarwal Packers" by charging me PREMIUM money instead of tension free shifting, they boiled my blood and and i felt cheated royally. and I end up paying over Rs 1000 to fix the broken chair, and over 2000 rupees worth of food spoilt, and my Mandir top broken which is of marble and my dining table edge chipped off.
and then when I wanted to complain, I ended up speaking with 4 people who were either not interested to speak with me or were hanging up before Shivam patiently spoke with me and then called me back with the complaint #.
I've decided that I'll not take this lightly. Me and my family have suffered mentally and physically as I had to do some of the packing myself, as I was not confident of their people's abilities that day.
I'll personally recommend everyone not to use this cheating company. And share it with anyone using Agarwal packers for any shifting within the city especially on holidays. These guys promise the world but you will get stuck on the D day.
BEWARE. hope this didn't happen with anyone else as I have written to all their customer care IDs but to no avail. I met the Bangalore Customer head and while he was all apologetic, but will not compensate. They don't care.
