Baltimore Police Lt. Brian Rice was the most senior-ranking officer of six charged in the death of Freddie Gray. Rice, who chose to have a bench trial, was acquitted by the presiding judge of charges of involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office. His is the third case to end in acquittals; the trial of William Porter ended in a mistrial when a jury failed to come to an unanimous verdict. Still to face the courtroom are Alicia White and Garrett Miller.
