China’s middle class experienced a 70% growth of income between 1988 and 2008, known as the ‘Asian Miracle’. During this same period, the middle class in the US and in other developed countries experienced no growth at all or, in some cases, negative growth. This is partly because the Chinese standard of living still has a long way to go to catch up with developed countries, but it also is a result of Globalist trade treaties that have given China a trade advantage in recent years.
