Clinton or Trump:

Who’s more qualified
to be the next president? © 2016

Before aspiring to be president, Hillary Clinton had been a distinguished lawyer who used her skills to help children and the less fortunate. She was a First Lady who worked to bring about health insurance reforms. As First Lady, she worked with her husband Bill Clinton, to rescue the American economy from Republican ruins. After her stint as First Lady, she became a U.S. Senator of New York. After she served as senator, she was appointed Secretary of State by President Barack Obama.

For his part, Donald Trump has worked in real estate, and aided by his father, Trump accumulated a sizable fortune. Trump also has become a reality television star. Real estate and Reality TV are not the qualifications that prepare you to be president of the United States.

Imagine yourself conducting a job interview. The candidates are applying to be president of the flagship nation on the planet, the United States. One candidate has Ms. Clinton’s resume. The other candidate has Trump’s resume.

Trump is certainly qualified to be a Reality TV star. But president of the United States? It’s not even close! If we were living in any other period in American history before Reality TV, Trump would be seen as a joke, someone who’s not even remotely qualified to be president.` No doubt, Reality TV has made Americans dumb and dumber than they were years before.

Trump has never held any kind of governmental or public service office. He has never been a:

• School Board Member
• City Councilperson
• Mayor
• Judge
• State Representative
• State Senator
• Governor
• U.S. Representative
• U.S. Senator
• Military Officer

Yet, Trump believes he’s qualified to be president of the United States. Now that’s arrogance on steroids. Can you imagine a black woman, a black man, a white woman, an Asian, an Hispanic running for president with a resume as skimpy as Trump’s and be taken seriously? Only a rich, arrogant, white male would even consider pulling that one off.

Not only does Trump lack the qualifications to be president, he also lacks the temperament. This is a man, who acts like a spoiled child, whenever he’s criticized or when something is said about him that’s not flattering.

Mature adults have self-control, and they don’t lash out every time something is said they don’t like. But Trump is used to working in his own company, his own little bubble, where people kiss his feet and tell him what he wants to hear. That environment is not the real world.

Recently, the thin-skinned Trump came unhinged for the umpteenth time when he publicly criticized a judge who made a decision he disagreed with. He also criticized the media for questioning his contributions to veterans organizations. This man clearly lacks the temperament of a person who’s qualified to be president.
