Conversation with a lost fan:
Me: You like “Lost” huh? What’s that show about anyway?
Lost” fan: Well, it’s about these people on an island.
Me: No [expletive]. But what’s the point of the show?
“Lost” fan: Well, there’s a smoke monster, and these weird people called “the Others.” Oh, and there’s also the Dharma Initiative!
Me: What does that even mean?
“Lost” fan: Uh, well, you see. The thing about that is … Hey, what’s that over there! [runs away]
