#DELCwitchcraft15 #Creativity I remember going to a parents evening once and the teacher telling my mother 'your daughter is behind in reading and struggles to concentrate, but look at this drawing she did in art! She's so creative!' It kind of got to a point that the term 'creative' was used as a psuedo- synonym to demonstrate my inability to learn in a coherent manner throughout school. But on the bright side society has advanced from the 90's and now there are various methods for children to learn with a method that caters to them. I agree that learning should be creative, we are more likely to remember things that have an impact upon us which we discover through our own curiosity; Rousseau was an advocate for that. In terms of university, creativity is approved of but within reason. On the other hand I've always wondered how the hell Creative Writing is marked, what if you write a story about dogs and your teacher hates dog narratives? It is key to have a sense of creativity when researching and structuring essays, but I don't think any of my teachers would appreciate me handing my next assignment in poetry form.
