A segment of Americans are angry. Really angry. They’re ticked off about immigration, ISIS, terrorism, and refugees. They’re also fed up with many politicians and their political correctness. They want a presidential candidate who thinks like them and tells it like it is no matter who’s offended. No doubt, Donald Trump has tapped into that anger, and he has even pandered to it.
White makes make up a good segment of Trump's angry supporters. For most of their lives, many of them relied almost exclusively on white skin to land them jobs. But the economy has changed, and these angry white males have not upgraded their skills, and they're losing out on jobs that demand more skills. They won't blame themselves, that would make too much sense. So they blame anyone who's not white for "taking their jobs."
Enter Donald Trump. He has been tapping into their raw, racist emotions. Trump has been saying out loud what many people with extreme views have been thinking. He has become the mouthpiece of the intolerant, the rude, the crude, and the extremists. Even the kkk has announced support for him. With qualities like that, Trump would be an absolute disaster for this country.
If Trump's "fans" were smart, they would insist that business stop sitting on piles of cash and start apprentice programs to help train more Americans. Businesses have thousands of unfilled jobs because they claim they cannot find people with the skills. Then train them!!This country lags far behind other Germany, England, and other countries in terms of apprenticeships.
Trump’s rhetoric has been so raw and divisive, white supremacist groups are thanking him for generating new interest in their groups. Look up the word, demagogue. It says, “A person who appeals to the emotions and prejudices of people especially in order to gain political power.” Does that sound like Trump?
Most Americans are decent, and they're not going to allow someone to bully and insult himself into the presidency.
But it is the Republicans who created this social and political Frankenstein, and the Frankenstein wannabe, Cruz. Republicans will pay a price during the presidential election for spewing so much division among the American people.
The clues are obvious about Trump’s character, or lack thereof. As Americans, we should never, ever allow the rantings of a demagogue to lead us. America’s great presidents have demonstrated intelligence, character, self-control, wisdom, and sound judgment. You don’t see those qualities in Trump.
Nearly every day, you see evidence of Trump's instability. What if your own child behaved like Trump. You would be embarrassed to say the least. So, why do Americans accept behavior in Trump they would not accept in their own children?
If Trump was president, in his mind, and in the minds of his "fans," all he would have to do is wave a wand, and POOF, ISIS would be wiped out on his first day in office. He would build a border fence and seal off America. He would tell China, North Korea, and Iran what to kiss. He would have Putin eating out of his hand.
But there’s a difference between actual reality and reality TV. Trump promises Fantasyland. But It’s all talk. Sadly, his "fans" have fallen for the hype. Their support for Trump is proof that reality TV has made many Americans dumb and dumber.
Once again, if you dislike Trump’s rhetoric, get out and vote in November.levision parlance, cancel his "show" with your VOTE!
