Fill your horn with oil, and come, I shall send you to Jesse, the Bethlehemite, for I have seen for Myself a king among his sons.

Today's Israel Inspiration
Here's an amazing insight into the name Jesse, father of King David. Jesse's name in Hebrew is Yishai, יִשַׁי composed of a Yud, Shin, Yud. In the Book of Deuteronomy (33:5), the tribes are described as being "united under a king" and those words in Hebrew are Yachad Shivtei Yisrael (יַחַד שִׁבְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל), which forms the acronym "Yishai"! Thus in his very name, we see a hint of the royalty and greatness that was to come from Yishai through his son David, the king of Israel.
