GNMS believes student leadership is arguably the most beneficial extracurricular activity a person can perform while in school. Though there are no grades and zero credits to earn, the experience gained from a leadership role will be valuable for a lifetime. A leader is thrown into a learning environment that encourages hands-on experience. Planning, decision making, communicating, and working as a teammate are all skills that you will build as a student leader. These portable leadership skills won’t be build when studying for an exam or sitting in a lecture. As a student leader, you are in the unique position to make a difference in your school. This is the moment to think big and to exert your voice from a position of influence.
In cue of this NMS had it’s first primary assembly on “Leadership” on 13th April 13, 2016 was hosted by Grade 4C. They shortlisted the various qualities a leader should develop in order to succeed. The children promise develop and build on these qualities. At the end of the assembly nominees for the House prefects voiced their thoughts and convinced students to vote for them.
