TODAY'S FORECAST -

HERE COMES THE HEAT! 61°F 6:30AM Hey hey Giovanni here. A few high clouds will be with us today as a weakening trough along the Oregon border passes through. We begin to heat up as strong High pressure anchors off the coast. Expect today's highs to reach the low 90s with overnight lows in the low to mid 60s.

This heat wave will be with us right through the weekend and into next week, making it the longest heat wave we've seen all summer. Expect daytime highs to peak in the mid to upper 90s and remain there. We may see a few build ups to our east along the Sierra crest by the middle of next week as moisture drifts into the Sierra. More on that soon.

The long range forecast shows the current hot weather to continue as the hottest days of summer arrive later than normal with a hint of summer t'storms late in the month. I'm not seeing any tell tale signs of fall we typically see in early September. What does that mean?
