HaShem Feels Your Pain
When Avraham was recovering from his circumcision, the Shechinah visited him and inquired of his well-being. Three angels accompanied the Shechinah: one to announce that Sara would give birth to a son, one to heal Avraham, and the third to destroy Sodom. Since God sent the angels to visit Avraham, why was it necessary for the Shechinah to also visit Avraham? When empathizing with the pain of others, God feels the pain as if it is His very own. Therefore, God, Himself, came to show His mercy and care to Avraham.
Lesson: God in His great compassion, unequivocally empathizes, cares, and concerns Himself with His creations.
