Plastic recycling and creation of social value in Indonesia: the «Pemulung» project

Recycling centers (LPP on the diagram) functun as social business. Indeed, in this model, much of the profits from the selection process, grinding and cleaning of plastic will be reinvested to improve living conditions of the « pemulung » community through: the creation of a microcredit fund, program to improve access to water, education for children…
