James Horner won two Academy Awards for the "Titanic" soundtrack and scored more than 100 other films, including "Avatar," "Braveheart," and "A Beautiful Mind." The "Titanic" soundtrack became the biggest-selling movie-score album of all time, Variety reports. Horner was a trained pilot and a small plane registered under his name crashed in Ventura County, Calif., on Monday, killing the sold occupant. Officials haven't confirmed Horner was the pilot, but his assistant and several other people in the film and music industries have said he died in the crash.
