March to Wellness month in full swing:
A handful of ‘Professional Learning and Development’ sessions were organized in the school to provide opportunities to the teachers to learn and grow professionally. The first and foremost session that was organized was to acquaint the teachers with ipad apps that can be used in the classrooms to enhance learning by developing students’ learning skills.
A quick sharing of the iPad apps that could be used in classes for effective learning was done on the 14th March, 2016. The learning that happened at the workshop on the iPad session conducted by the Apple Education, UAE initiative which was attended by Mr. Mohsin, Ms. Stella and Ms. Famida on 3 March, 2016 in Dubai was cascaded to the rest of the staff through this session.
Different apps that could support and enhance the students learning were shared and a brief hands-on experience was given to the teachers.. These apps enable students to present their work by personalizing the settings, characters, voice, accent, appearance etc… which in turn arouses their creativity and interest in the learning.
Teachers enjoyed learning about the different apps and found it very effective to get students engaged in the process of learning.
