Announcing the 2016 CT Classic Horse Show in Hartford!

Now that the cat is officially out of the bag, we are very pleased to announce the 2016 Connecticut Classic Horse Show!

Earlier today, Ebony Horsewomen, Inc. Equestrian and Agricultural Center founder & CEO, Patricia Kelly, announced the upcoming 2016 Connecticut Classic Horse Show event during a press conference at Hartford's City Hall.

This premiere 3-day event is scheduled to kick-off September 9, 10, & 11, 2016 at Hartford’s historic Keney Park, at Lookout Mountain. The Connecticut Classic Horse Show will be brought to Hartford by the Westbrook Hunt Club and hosted by Ebony Horsewomen, Inc. The CT Classic, a family-friendly event, will feature top equestrians from the east coast, the Midwest, and Canada. There will also be vendors, equestrian-related exhibitions, ringside dining and more.

This event has been a long time in the making and is the first Horse Show to be held in Keney Park in 100 years! Bringing a top-tier horse show to the capital city has been a major goal of EHI founder and CEO, Patricia Kelly’s, and she is confident that Hartford is ready for world-class equestrian events, such as this one. More importantly, the CT Classic Horse Show will, undoubtedly, leave an indelible mark on Hartford’s north end community, help revitalize our neighborhood, and serve as an excellent example for north end youth who aspire to work in non-traditional careers.

According to the American Horse Council, the horse industry plays a significantly large role in our national, state and local economies; particularly because it offers agricultural, business, sporting, gaming, recreational, and entertainment value. The potential economic impact the CT Horse Classic would have on Hartford’s north end would be tremendous, and it’d provide employment and civic opportunities and visibility for Hartford residents who live in the north end.

The CT Classic is expected to present $125,000 in cash prizes in several equestrian competitive classes. Sponsors and advertisers are encouraged to take early advantage of marketing and sponsorship opportunities.
