US: The DEA and FBI raided Indian tribal lands in the Menominee Nation of Wisconsin and confiscated over 30,000 plants of hemp. The crop was intended for industrial and medicinal use and, therefore, was low in THC, the psychotropic agent found in marijuana. The federal, state, and local law-enforcement agencies that made the raid deny that the land is sovereign to the Indian nation.
