President of Zimbabwe orders Olympic athletes jailed
I cannot believe this is not a joke. If this is true, it says it all
Evidently President Mugabe was not pleased that his country spent money on athletes who failed to place above 8th in any event at the Olympics. So he has ordered all of them to be arrested, and issued the following statement:

"We have wasted the country's money on these rats we call athletes. If you are not ready to sacrifice and win even copper or brass medals (referring the 4th and 5th positions) as our neighbors Botswana did, then why do you go to waste our money" he said.
"If we needed people to just go to Brazil to sing our national anthem and hoist our flag, we would have sent some of the beautiful girls and handsome guys from University of Zimbabwe to represent us."

I can't believe that is not a joke, and evidently it is not, he is dead serious. I guess he does not realize that sometimes you lose. Even if ONE athlete returned a medal of any sort, he would not be upset? That would make all the rest better? FACT: If 30 athletes try for something, all can work their butts off and someone is still going to place 30th. At least he had people place 8th!

Idiots like him need to live in a world where no matter how you place, you still get one of those yellow ribbons!
