Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz
Chaffetz was born in Los Gatos, California, and was raised in Arizona and Colorado with his younger brother Alex. His father, John A. Chaffetz, was Jewish, and his mother, Margaret A. Wood,was a Christian Scientist. Chaffetz's paternal grandfather was Maxwell (Max) Chaffetz (1909–1986), an FBI Special Agent..
Chaffetz converted from Judaism to Mormonism during his last year of college.

His father had previously been married to Kitty Dickson, who afterward was married to the later Democratic governor of Massachusetts, Michael Dukakis; Chaffetz's half-brother is former actor John Dukakis.
In 2004, Chaffetz was the campaign manager for Utah gubernatorial candidate Jon Huntsman. Huntsman won the race, and when he took office in January 2005, Chaffetz became Huntsman's chief of staff.In November 2005, Chaffetz left that position to manage his own company, Maxtera Utah, a corporate communications and marketing company.
In 2006, Chaffetz was appointed by Huntsman as a trustee for Utah Valley State College. Chaffetz has also served as a member of the Highland City planning commission and as chairman for the Utah National Guard adjutant general review.

UTAH GOVERNOR Gary Herbert
Herbert was born in American Fork,UT the son of Carol (Boley) and Paul Richard Peters He was later adopted by his stepfather, Duane Barlow Herbert. Governor Herbert grew up in Orem, Utah. He graduated from Orem High School, served a two-year mission for the LDS Church in the Eastern States Mission and later attended Brigham Young University, but did not graduate
After initially running for the Republican nomination for Governor in 2004, Herbert teamed up with ambassador and businessman Jon Huntsman as his running mate in the general election. Herbert was sworn in as Lieutenant Governor of Utah in 2005, serving one term until he assumed the governorship on August 11, 2009, following the resignation of Governor Huntsman, who was appointed to serve as the United States Ambassador to China by President Barack Obama.

Michael Shumway "Mike" Lee is the junior United States Senator from Utah.
Lee is the son of Rex E. Lee, Solicitor General under President Reagan and founding Dean of J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
Lee endorsed fellow Republican Ted Cruz for President of the United States in the 2016 election.
While Lee spent about half of his childhood years in Utah, he spent the other half in McLean, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C. His father served first as an Assistant U.S. Attorney General (overseeing the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice during the Ford Administration) from 1975 until 1976, and then as the U.S. Solicitor General (charged with representing the United States government before the Supreme Court during the first term of the Reagan Administration) from 1981 until 1985.
Lee went to school with Senator Strom Thurmond's daughter and lived three doors down from Senator Robert Byrd. He was friends with Harry Reid's son Josh. Senator Reid was the Lees' home teacher.
He served as general counsel to Utah Governor Jon M. Huntsman, Jr. from January 2005 until June 2006, when he returned to Washington to serve a one-year clerkship at the U.S. Supreme Court with Justice Alito.

Utah Rep. Mia Love
Ludmya Bourdeau "Mia" Love is the U.S. Representative from Utah's 4th congressional district. She is the first Haitian American and the first black female Republican in Congress, as well as the first black American to be elected to Congress from Utah.
Love's birth enabled her Haitian parents to gain a US residency permit (green card) under an immigration law that favored immigrants from the Western Hemisphere who had a child born in the United States.
She was also a flight attendant with Continental Airlines. She moved to Utah in 1998 after converting to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and while working for Continental. There she married Jason Love.The Loves decided that Jason should continue his software work and maintain their residence in Utah.
Nationally, Love received campaign support from 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his wife Ann Romney, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, House Budget Committee Chairman and 2012 Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan, and Speaker of the House John Boehner.
Love is running for re-election in 2016. She will have a rematch with Democrat Doug Owens in the general election.

Utah Rep. Chris Stewart
Christopher Douglas "Chris" Stewart currently represents Utah's 2nd congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.
Stewart 's father was a retired Air Force pilot and teacher. His mother, Sybil S. Stewart, was a full-time homemaker and was recognized as the Utah Mother of the Year in 1996.
Stewart took a break and served as a Mormon missionary in Texas. After his church service, Stewart re-entered Utah State University, and in 1984 earned a degree in economics from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.Stewart served in the Air Force for 14 years, primarily flying rescue helicopters and the B-1B bomber.
Stewart has written fourteen books, and has been chosen by the Book of the Month Club.His works have been published in twelve countries. He has worked with Elizabeth Smart to co-write her memoir, My Story. In 2005, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir performed A Christmas Bell for Anya, which he co-authored with his wife Evie.
