Rivers State Governor and re-elected chairman of Nigeria Governors Forum, NGF Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has vowed not to step down as chairman of Nigeria Governor Forum.
Briefing journalists in Abuja, Governor Amaechi said he will not step down because it was a mandate that was freely given to him.
He called on the Jonah Jang led faction to bury their hatchet and come back to the fold for the interest of the country’s development and Nigerians.
The chairman of Nigerian Governor Forum Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi also assured staff of the NGF secretariat of job security and prompt payment of thjeir salary despite the political crisis.
