TODAY'S FORECAST

SHOWERS! 45°F 6:00AM Hey hey Giovanni here. Mostly cloudy today with not a lot of rain or Sierra snow as the next storm gathers strength offshore. This next wave of inclement weather is now expected to arrive tonight. Today's temps may reach the low 50s with overnight lows in the low 40s.

Moderate to heavy rain arrives overnight into Wednesday morning. Timing is variable as the Low is currently stalled offshore. Expect gusty winds, moderate to heavy rain at times and maybe up to 2" of additional rain and 2 feet of snow above 7000ft with snow levels dropping to 4000ft on Wednesday behind the cold front. Overall rainfall totals for this wet weather pattern may reach 3" by Thursday evening as these spring storms tend to generate lots of instability showers and t'storms behind the cold front. Showers are possible through Thursday evening with sunny and warmer weather Friday-Sunday. A chance of showers is trying to sneak into the forecast next Monday, but chances are low as the storm track may stay to our north.

The second week of April looks wet in the long range forecast. April can bring us just over 4" of rain on average so it's not unheard of to start out wet. Have a totally cool Tuesday!
