Tesla Cars
Tesla has now officially gone as mainstream as Chevy with their release of their Model 3, which is a conservative 4 door sedan with a range of 215 miles and a price tag of $35,000. They expect to deliver the same number of cars as any popular model from a mainstream car manufacturer such as Ford. The price will certainly be less when incentives are deducted and will probably, with incentives, land at a price somewhere in the mid 20 thousands. The only thing stopping this car from being a prime candidate for a solar powered car is it's shape, which would make mounting solar panels difficult. Right now, seeing a Tesla is an oddity. But Tesla has so many model 3's on order already - before they even hit the lot - that they will, if Tesla pulls through, be an every day sight.
