The Jewish case for voting for Bernie

The Jewish case for voting for Bernie

The United States is too important a country for Jews to allow it to destroy itself. A vote for Bernie, if nothing else, is a vote against money buying our elections. Lobbyists own our politicians, they sit in Congress and write laws favorable to them and no one can stop them. It's not even done in secret, it's all out in the open and it's shameful. As ridiculous as it may sound, if the American people want something from congress they pretty much have to hire lobbyists to bribe politicians to get it done. We can't have that. What's worse is that countries where bribery becomes business as usual become banana republics. We can't allow the US to become a banana republic. If the US falls and becomes a banana republic, will Jews have a refuge like the US ever again? And I don't need to explain why Jews need the US to remain strong and successful. It wasn't that long ago when Jews were persecuted and killed systematically across much of the world. We can't afford a country like the US, the first country in the world to grant Jews equal citizenship and protection under the law to erode its institutions and succumb to greed and malaise.

"But Hillary is saying all the right things on Israel right now" you say. Well, she is, and she'll say anything at any time to get ahead. Let me jog your memory how her husband pushed Rabin and Peres when all he wanted was a photo op of Rabin and Arafat shaking hands at the White House. You can't trust a Clinton. If Hillary decides it's politically expedient to fight against us she will in a heartbeat. She's been on every side of every issue, she simply can't be trusted.

Bernie on the other hand promises to be fair, and you know he means it. He doesn't try to appease and tell you what you want to hear. Furthermore, he won't push for a bad deal for Israel just for a favorable headline. Bernie is the solid choice for Israel, for the whole region, and for honesty and decency in the White House. Bernie's White House won't be about cocktail parties for elites sipping champagne and stuffing politicians' pockets with money, his White House will be about strengthening the middle class in America who have long been forgotten by the lobbyist bribed elite.

"What about taxes?" you ask. Despite what you've been hearing, Bernie won't raise taxes on anyone making 250k or less, and only by a few percentage points for those making above that. These increases will be offset by saving about 20k per family on health insurance, and millions saved by businesses by lowering the cost of providing healthcare to employees to zero.

Furthermore, Bernie's push for solar and other renewables, coupled with his infrastructure investments will spur economic growth and bring America into a new era of shared prosperity and growth for all. And with Bernie, these aren't just empty campaign slogans. He means it, he's for real.

I could go on and on.. The point is that Hillarys will come around again, but there won't be another chance to vote for another Bernie so fast. Bernie hasn't taken a penny from lobbyists, he'll be beholden only to the voters. So walk into that voting booth on Tuesday the 19th and do the right thing and vote for Bernie Sanders. It's important for the Jews, for America, and for the world.
