The New England Journal of Medicine reports sharp increases in the amount and the types of pesticide that are being used. For example, a new pesticide, Enlist Duo, that combines Monsanto’s glyphosate and Dow’s 2,4-D will lead to a seven-fold increase in pesticide use, per the EPA.
