The Nigeria Union of Allied Health Care Professionals has threatened a showdown with the Federal Government, which could disrupt industrial peace in federal teaching hospitals across the country, beginning from the second of May.
The union wants the Federal Government to address alleged injustices done to its members, including marginalization in the appointment of individuals into leadership positions in teaching hospitals.
It also wants the post of Chief Medical Director of Teaching Hospitals to be re-designated as Chief Executive Officer, and made open to all health professionals.
