The Rivers State House of Assembly has suspended the Chairman of obiakpor local government area , TIMOTHY NSIRIM, his Vice SOLOMON EKE and the councilors representing the seventeen wards in the local government.
The Assembly said the suspension followed allegation of misuse of public fund and breach of security made by a community leader in Obio-Akpor.
The Chairman Rivers State House Committee on Local Governemnt VICTOR ODILI said his committee investigated the allegation and recommended the suspension of the Obio-Akpor Council Chairman and his executive to allow for conclusive investigation of the matter.
