The Rivers State Ministry of Urban Development says it has arrested and prosecuted nine persons over offence related to street trading.

The State Commissioner for urban development Tammy Danagogo said the people were arrested along the slaughter market and Sangama street axis.

The commissioner said the ministry’s taskforce on development control has been given the mandate to arrest who sales and buy at unauthorized market along traffic in Port Harcourt.

He said his ministry has resolved to end street trading in Rivers State.
