The Rivers State government has inaugurated an agency to ensure quality and standard in the education sector in Rivers State.
The new agency known as the education quality assurance agency will as well evaluate schools in the state.
At the inauguration of the agency the Secretary to the Rivers State government George Feyii advised the agency to consolidate on the state investment in education.
The Rivers State Commissioner for Education Alice Nemi said the creation of the new agency will ensure sanity in the education system in Rivers State.
In his remarks the chairman of the Rivers State Education Quality Assurance Agency Professor Otonti Nduka promised that the agency will fulfill the dreams and aspiration of the State government in the area of monitoring and evaluation of schools.
