Donald Trump has resonated with many people believing he is the answer to what’s wrong in their lives. But if any one wants to know what a person will do in the future, just look at what that person did in the past.
Trump’s been and remains a self-promoter. He’s been and remains a scoundrel. It has always been all about him; not poor Whites, poor Blacks, or poor anybody else. Those believing what Trump is selling would be ripe candidates to buy beach property on a desert.
Trump has talked about making America great. But cities, towns, states and governments rely on tax revenues to tick. If Americans followed Trump’s lead and avoided paying taxes, like their hero, how great would America be?
During the debate, it became clear that Trump’s campaign is based on “Talking Points,” topics thrown out for discussion or to arouse passions. If he is pushed to go beyond the talking points, he rambles and merely repeats his talking points, because he doesn’t have substance. There’s “no there” there.
His campaign is a sham just waiting to be fully exposed. At his rallys, it’s like a bubble or a monologue, with just him talking. No one challenges what he says no matter how ridiculous it is. But during a real debate, he has to answer, and he’s challenged. That’s when the sham gets exposed.
Lester Holt, no doubt, realized “there’s more than one way to skin a cat,” so to speak. He knew that if you’re dealing with a fool, you simply let the fool be himself. That’s what happened with Trump during the debate.
Lester fed the fool with questions that were not “talking points,” and “The Donald” got his rear end kicked. He got played, and a good number of Americans got to see Trump for who he really is; a fraud. Even so, don’t let anything stop you from voting in November.
