The federal government says it is planning to explore renewable energy sources like solar and wind to boost power supply in the country.

The minister of power professor Chinedu Nebo told newsmen in Lagos that government was serious about using renewable energy sources.

Nebo said many people were coming up with solar and hydro sources that would empower rural communities in the country.
