Trump said he would announce his choice on Friday at 11 a.m. ET and that he was considering potentially four people for the veep spot, including Pence, former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Indiana state law doesn't allow a candidate's name to appear on both the gubernatorial ballot, as Pence is currently running for re-election, and the vice presidential ballot. If he were chosen as Trump's running mate, he would have to drop out of his state race by noon on Friday. Earlier today, several journalists reported seeing Pence's deputy campaign manager boarding a flight from Indianapolis to New York City's LaGuardia Airport for "some meetings," according to NBC News' Ali Vitali. We're watching for confirmation.
