At 11 a.m. British Privy Councilor Sir John Chilcot released his report into the Iraq war. The inquiry was originally announced in 2009 by former Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The time frame of the report runs from 2001, before military operations began in Iraq in 2003, until end of July 2009. The report is 2.5 million words long, and is expected to criticize Tony Blair's government, the Prime Minister who led the invasion into Iraq, as well as the conduct of British military forces. The report will judge whether Tony Blair misled parliament, question whether intelligence into alleged weapons of mass destruction in Iraq was misrepresented and whether the invasion into Iraq was legal.
