US: The EPA spends $75 million per year on military weapons. These include guns, body armor, camouflage equipment, unmanned aircraft, radar, night-vision gear, and amphibious assault ships. When the agency comes knocking, it is further armed with a thousand lawyers, arrest-and-criminal data, and business-and-property histories. All this to protect the environment.
