WHAT IS OFFENSIVE ABOUT THE LORD'S PRAYER?

Our Father --Hebrew refers to God in the masculine. That's how it is. He is acknowledged as The Creator.
Who art in Heaven - He is EVERYWHERE but that is apparently his home base. How awesome is the universe!
hallowed be Thy Name - If you believe in One God, you usually believe He is infinite with limitless power and THAT should be respected. Sounds holy to me.
Thy kingdom (to) come -- His Afterlife for us
Thy Will be done - one of the perks of being God is He will do what He will do and, whether it seems like it or not at the time, it is for our good...I have questions, complaints, doubts but...
On Earth as it is in Heaven - He operates everywhere
Give us this day our daily bread - He makes food possible. A Catholic priest I talked to says that this "bread" can be a hint of what He wants us to do that day. ( Like as many good deeds as you can do in the day--mitzvahs)
And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us- Who wants to keep a grudge?Life is too short.
And lead us not into temptation-- He is not supposed to give us more than we can handle but if He does, we can ask for forgiveness because we are NOT God or angels or saints.
But deliver us from evil- Bad things happen to good people. Ask Him to minimize it. That's one of the topics prayer is about.
For Thine is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory
Letting him know that you know Who He is....and you haven't forgotten Him and what He does
Forever- He is infinite, We are not. At least not here.
Amen - means that we agree with the contents of this prayer.
I FAIL TO SEE ANYTHING OFFENSIVE WITH THIS PRAYER. ANYBODY SHOULD BE ABLE TO SAY IT.
