The U.S. Supreme Court makes major decisions every year that affects our lives. When ultra, ultra-conservative Justice Antonin Scalia headed the court, before his recent death, the Court made a number of conservative and regressive court decisions: affirmative action, police rights, etc.

Scalia was in sync with the Republican conservative agenda. When he died, the Republicans went into a panic. Their greatest fear was that Pres. Obama had a chance to make a more progressive appointment to the Court who could help to undue the damage they had done. What Republicans did in response was cut-throat.

They simply refused to conduct any hearings on Pres. Obama’s nominee to the Court. They were hoping to delay the process long enough to elect a Republican president who could appoint another ultra, ultra-conservative judge, in the style of Scalia.

Though many Republicans dislike Trump, they will tolerate him because they know, if he’s elected, he will appoint a Scalia clone to the court, and that would be acceptable to most Republicans. Their greatest fear is that Clinton will be elected, and she could possibly fill two court vacancies with progressives.

Like Pres. Obama, Clinton would appoint a progressive justice to the court. A more progressive court would certainly mean more progressive court decisions on:

• Civil Rights
• Police Abuse cases
• Voting Rights
• Consumer Rights
• Employee Rights
• Health Care
• Student Loans
• Banking Regulations

Voting for president isn’t a beauty contest nor is it a game show. It’s essentially an IQ test. Smart people know their interests, and they vote their interests. Dumb people vote along trivial lines.

Some of the people inclined to vote against Clinton proclaim, “I don’t trust her.” But reporters never push back or ask why don’t you trust her? Those reporters would find out those voters are merely repeating what’s been reported, and they have no real basis for not trusting her.

Keeping it real. If anyone can’t be trusted, it has to be Trump. He’s a proven liar, and he’s flipped on more issues than you could count.
