Charris' POV
I prayed that Nathan was okay. I prayed that all the boys were okay. I cared a lot for them. I sat in my office trying to stop the tears from flowing. "Excuse me miss?" I looked up.
"Yes, what is it Atreyu?" I asked.
"I've got a package for Nathan Sykes." He said. I stiffened. Think quick Charris. Think!
"Oh, i'm sorry Atreyu. But due to recent events Nathan was taken to a safe house to protect him. Not even I know where he is." I said trying to put as much confidence in to my voice as I could. His face fell.
"I see. Well thanks anyway miss." He said as he left. Package? For Nathan? I checked the delivery schedule. Nathan was expecting anything. That was odd. Maybe it was a last minute thing? No. Something wasn't right. I ran out of my office.
"Wait! Atreyu!" I called. He turned and looked at me. "I'll sign for the package. I can keep it safe until the crisis is over." I said. I saw his body language change.
"Oh that's okay miss. I can keep it safe until his return." He said his voice shaky.
"No. I insist you allow me to sign for that package." I said firmly. He swallowed hard. Got cha! "Security!" I shouted. Atreyu dropped the package and ran. Two guards ran past me and chased Atreyu. I picked up the package and opened it. I screamed when I saw it's contents.
Shannon's POV
Max had fallen asleep on my legs again. I was tired myself, but I wanted to stay awake incase anyone came. I wouldn't feel safe sleeping unless I knew Max was awake. I knew that Max would look out for me. He sighed in his sleep. I smiled to myself. It's funny how when you're pressed into a situation, a complete stranger will become your best friend. I had that feeling towards Max. I'd only just met him, but somehow he made me feel safe. I mean it's crazy really. Who would feel safe when they're trapped in a room with no light? I did. But only because Max was here. if he wasn't then God knows what i'd be like! I heard a scream come from behind the wall. I jumped in shock and fear. Max flinted and woke up. "Shannon!" He said grabbing my arm.
"Max, that wasn't me..." I said quietly.
