@british_airways A week before we were due to travel, our grandfather passed away. British airways were informed of this before travel.. At which point a full refund was promised on the provision of sending the death certificate. Within a few days the death certificate was sent and BA were called to confirm that this had been received. We were informed the refund could take up to 10 working days. 1-2 months passed with no sign of a refund. BA were called again to confirm why a payment hadnt been made. This will be processed immediately ma'am a representative in India informed us. Yet again no sign of a payment. A further phone call was made.. The representative promised this time it would be actioned- still no refund. We then wrote to British airways to receive this letter...


Yet low budget airline ryan air processed the refund immediately with no drama or "administration fee"
