My 14 year old self would like to thank you all for this storyline. 22 years ago I saw two women share a kiss on TV (Zoe Tate in Emmerdale in case you were wondering) , and my whole life changed. I saw that two smart, successful, beautiful women could kiss each other and the world wouldn't stop turning !! The very next week I came out !! My 36 year old self now sees the world through the eyes of my two beautiful daughters and I am so grateful that all these years later, people who have the power to change lives are using the power of their art to do so. It's so important that people who come into our homes every week use that privilege for good, and that's exactly what you have done here. You have reminded that lost and scared 14 year old girl that it's ok to love who you love, and that kissing girls is fun ! The two of you light up my Tuesday nights (ok I watch a lot of repeats, so most nights actually!), you have portrayed a chemistry that was obvious from the moment you stepped on to the screen together. As an actor you can only do that if you really feel that character, you obviously truly "get" this storyline. You are wonderfully sublime to watch and every second you are on the screen you are paving the way for young (and old alike) girls (and boys) everywhere to say you know what, the way I feel is ok ! And also lets all be honest here, who doesn't enjoy watching two strong, powerful, independent, sexy as hell women kissing, just for the sake of it, I know it's one of my favourite past times.
