Throughout my 27 years on this earth, I have known one thing: I want meet Oprah and thank her in person for all she has given me! Growing up, I did not have my mom around and was constantly looking for a role model to influence me throughout my childhood. I was not going to be another statistic because I came from an abusive, divorced household. I started watching The Oprah Winfrey Show when I was 3 years old. She ultimately became my TV surrogate mother. Watching Oprah gave me the strength to keep moving forward in my life, striving to be the best person I can. Throughout high school and into the present, my friends refer to me as "Mini O". They say I sound like Oprah when I give advice, etc. As college approached, I set my heart on one day giving back to others the way Oprah has done for me. It was a no-brainer for me to get my major in Broadcast Journalism, and start on the path Oprah had once done. My goal is not to be her but to take the lessons she gave me and share that with others. After graduation, I started an entertainment website, Mizhollywood.biz , allowing me to interview celebrities via Skype and chatting about the GOOD things the stars are doing, instead of the never-ending sleazy gossip that is out there. I have been dreaming to meet Oprah for over 20 years. It's so hard to put it into words for you.
I started The Oprah Campaign to show how much she has meant to me over the years and what a blessing it would be to meet her. I created and recorded a few videos that I hope will portray to you my passion for going after my dreams and ultimately getting to meet the inspiration behind all of it , Oprah.
