@michaelluo In high school, around the 90's, I once worked at a UCLA football game as Event Staff with another AAPI classmate named Stephanie Ke. The game had ended, and we were stationed alone. They were closing off the stadium, and the crowds exited through our gate. The police with other security staff were circling the stadium closing it off, and we were at the end. Our orders were to not allow anyone to pass back through our section. A large group of Caucasian college age students wearing UCLA logo gear wanted to pass back through. We denied them passage, they became agitated and started yelling obscenities and racial slurs at us. Before I know it they were calling me "Nip", and I was being pushed around. There were thousands of people leaving the stadium at the time, and they were hastily walking right by us as this happened. I was being shoved back and forth, and Stephanie was yelling for help. Nobody even stopped to help, and I heard them say, "kill the Nip". I was shocked because they were with their girlfriends who joined in the taunts. #thisis2016
