The All India Muslim Personal Law Board says, Personal Laws cannot be challenged or rewritten in the name of social reforms as that would violate Part III of the Indian Constitution. The Board conveniently ignored the Provisions in Article 44 of the Constitution which, in the form of Directive Principles, asks the state to ensure Uniform Civil Code for all its citizens throughout the territory of India.
