Didi,

I'm sorry you got eliminated from American Idol so soon. You would have knocked the socks off everyone if you could have performed one of John Lennon & Paul McCartney's songs this week on the show.

Back a few months ago I found you on Facebook before all the American Idol hoopla began. I've had the opportunity to write several articles about you, including my 1st one on you singing Hey Jude back in January.

Here's my latest. I hope you like it. Don't feel embarassed or shy about your guitar playing. You're good, end of story. I know that's easier said than done sometimes. I'm always waging a war with my nerves.

Guess you're gonna be on Letterman's show. Don't know if you know this, but several of his bandmembers are in a Beatles tribute band, including bassist Will Lee. Paul Shaffer (Dave's band leader) & the Late Show band are always doing Beatles songs, too.

I think you'd kick butt performing a Beatles song, maybe Hey Jude, or the one you would have performed this week if you hadn't been voted off.

Letterman acts kind of stand-offish & aloof sometimes, but I think he's gonna like you, because he respects artists who are original & dedicated to their craft.

I know I'm offering backseat advice, so get too irritated with me. You'll do good no matter what you sing. Again, please consider playing guitar & doing a Beatles song with Letterman's band, & I'll leave it at that.

Take care of yourself & hope you had a Happy Easter,

Jeremy Roberts
