A stepping stone to SOMETHING EVEN FURTHER? Like what? equality!
@geraldhowarth your homophobia is disgusting. People cant choose who they love, if we could do you think we would pick the option, were one is bullied, and ridiculed. It is intelligence like yours that embarrassed the UK, and hold the UK back. Britain is waiting the day to vote you and your kind out of office.
@bbcnews 40p per unit wont work, it may help a small minority of those who drink to excess. But the majority will just find away around it, switching to home brew, switching to more serious drugs to get the high they require, illegal trade of cheap alcohol, or people will go without something else to feed there habit, (e.g. an alcoholic mother of three stops feeding and clothing children properly to feed alcohol addiction) Addictions cant be targeted with this Hitler approach, it requires training and rehabilitation. But what else can we expect from this government, non of them live in the real world and see real people day to day. Bring back Labour
@bbcbreakfast Tabaco companies already have paid for hospitals in theory through tax, at least they profit of drinks company's is not going on advertising, to encourage more drinking abuse.
yesterday we had a stray staffy brought in with broken leg and maggot infestation, protein loss was so bad it had to be out to sleep, compulsory micro-chipping would have allowed just to find out who let this happen to him! RT if you would like to see all dog and cat micro-chipped
@4thoughttv @RSPCA_political I have just the JC - it's not singling anyone rely out! Just lets everyone else know what they are eating. To compare it to the Yellow start is dreadful, Jews rely suffered in WW2 to a horrible extent, they were singled out on basis of religion, not because other people did not want to eat meat of poor welfare. This article holds not solid ground, it's a prime example of throwing around the discrimination card, because they are ashamed of there religion practice.
Sarah Ludford Liberal Democrat MEP london, has emailed me, she is not supporting the new labeling system for meat! She says it singles out Jews and Muslims, But what about the majority of Europe, who want to know what they are eating? Dont think she has thought about that!
I swear that ****** over the road been playing same dam song on full since 11pm woke me up now i cant sleep - he dose this near exam time and im gonna find a new use for new use for animal fecal matter.
The stray dog saved from euthanasia and amputation http://yfrog.com/h2lj1fjx - The Beautiful Lurcher nicknamed Bambi was saved from two terrible fates yesterday, she was brought in as a stray by dog wardens with a broken tibia. Both the wardens and us (My Vet 24 -7) put in tough position - with no owner and orthopaedic surgery to expensive for the council to pay, the dog wardens would have to order her put to sleep. We said we would wait for a little longer to see if she was owned and could be saved. We gave her pain relief and waited with bating breath to her some good news we could save her! Finally at 5pm the call we wanted, she would be rescued by Battersea Dogs Home in Winsor – but rather than save the leg a cheaper solution to have it removed. I and Daniel Doherty (Head vet and owner of My Vet 24-7) were devastated- we had been with her all day and could see that she was not up to locomoting with three good and one broken leg, let alone having it removed! As a Lurcher she was made with proud legs and would loose so much quality of life having one amputated, the tough dissection came, do we amputate for £160 or do we perform a £800 peace of surgery for £160!
Last night a 6pm we got surgery and fixed little Bambi’s leg, using a metal pin travelling all the way through her tibia – and an external frame. The amazing surgery to all of 45 minuets in the expert hands of Daniel Doherty MRCVS. Bambi is now on her way to Battersea Dog Home and looking for a loving owner local to Hillingdon – She due back in 6 /8weeks to have frame removed so I’ll keep everyone posted.
@JudeAtRSPCA Think a campaign to neuter staffs is needed, they have become a fashion. I know some councils charge KC registered staff breeders - to try and reduce numbers! altho most are not registered and there the once that get miss treated and dumped. Maybe the answer lies in dog licenses, but not as they were before- a new style were owners have to answer an MCQ on dog ownership and breed specifics. Obtained of local Vet rather than dam post office, they already sell angling license to minors!
#petsnotjustforchristmas @rspca_offcial @marcthevet @dogstrust @pdsa_hq @PaulManktelow Sadly pets will always be given as present on a whim- and some pets end up in happy homes, others end up in the shelters a few months later. Remember if you do buy a pet this year - be cartful of Pet shops and Breeders that are just trying to make money! Most honorable shops and breeders will ask you to buy after Christmas, and refuse sale in Christmas week.
So if you do get a pet this year make sure it will be cared for! Make sure you know how to care for it! Insure it to reduce hidden costs! Take it to the vet right away to make sure its healthy and not been poorly breed just Christmas profit for breeders or shops!
